PORTLAND (AP) — A Gardiner man who robbed a Bridgton pharmacy of prescription painkillers on Thanksgiving Day last year has pleaded guilty.

Robert Richard pleaded guilty Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Portland to a felony charge of interference with commerce by robbery.

Authorities say the 26- year-old Richard entered the Rite Aid pharmacy on Nov. 28 wearing a hooded sweatshirt, sunglasses and a bandanna over his face and handed a note to the pharmacist demanding all the oxycodone.

He was given several bottles of the drug before fleeing in a car with a concealed license plate.

He has been in custody since his indictment last month and faces up to 20 years in prison at sentencing.
