BATH — Morse jumped out to a 7-0 lead on the second play from scrimmage, but undefeated Marshwood rolled from there for a 60-7 Western Class B high school football win on Friday at McMann Field.

Damon Osmond hauled in a pass from Matt Belanger on a double reverse passing play to stun the Hawks momentarily.

But, Brett Gerry scored five touchdowns on the ground and rushed for 238 yards to lead Marshwood (7- 0). Ryan O’Neil returned an interception 45 yards and caught a 40-yard TD pass from quarterback Luc Blanchette as Marshwood carried a 41-7 lead into the intermission.

Osmond finished with three catches for 62 yards, while quarterback Connor Upham was 7-of-19 for 32 yards passing. Andrew Payson led the Morse defense with eight tackles, with Osmond picking up six, and Josh McDougal and James Laser five each.

Morse fell to 3-4 and visits Mt. Ararat this upcoming Friday at 7 p.m. in the regular season finale for both teams.

The host Yachtsmen jumped out to a 20-0 lead in the opening quarter for a Western B win on Friday.

Nick Wissemann scored on a 23-yard run for a 6-0 Falmouth (6-1) lead, and Connor Aube followed with a 49-yard TD run. Quarterback Noah Nelson completed Falmouth’s big opening quarter with a 2-yard run to the end zone, and hooked up with Aube and Austin Wheeler in the second quarter for a 34-0 halftime lead.

Nelson was 8-for-10 in the air for 199 yards, while Aube rushed eight times for 87 yards and caught three passes for 86 yards.
