BRUNSWICK — The legacy of Frances Perkins, the first woman ever to serve in a presidential cabinet, will be discussed at the Curtis Memorial Library in Brunswick on Wednesday, October 19, 7 p.m., hosted by the American Association of University Women.
Michael Chaney, Executive
Director of the Frances Perkins Center, will talk about the Frances Perkins Center, its work to fulfill the legacy of Perkins by continuing her work for social justice and economic security and preserving for future generations her nationally significant family homestead.
