BANGOR — The Bowdoin College field hockey team returned to the win column on Wednesday evening with a 3-0 non-conference win over Husson University.

All three Bowdoin (7-1) goals came in the opening half of play. Adrienne O’Donnell started the Polar Bears off with goal just 3:50 into the matchup off the feed from Kimmy Ganong. Ganong tallied a goal of her own just over 11 minutes later coming from Rachel Kennedy. With under a minute to play in the first half, Kennedy dished another pass, this time to Liz Znamierowski, for the team’s third goal.

Bowdoin outshot the Eagles 35-4 through 70 minutes of play and held a 25-1 edge in corner opportunities. Hannah Gartner stopped a single shot in net for Bowdoin, with Mettler Growney pitching in with a defensive save to preserve the shutout.

Bowdoin travels to Hamilton for a noon game on Saturday afternoon and visits Williams on Sunday in New England Small College Athletic Conference play.
