BRUNSWICK — Muriel C. White, 91, died Saturday, Oct. 4, 2014, at Freeport Nursing Home.

She was born in Brunswick, Feb. 27, 1923, the daughter of Glenwood and Nellie Bickford Rollins and graduated from Brunswick High School.

She married Robert M. White in 1942. Mr. White died in 1975.

Mrs. White lived on Hacker Road for 76 years until moving to Pejepscot Terrace in 2012.

She worked at the Dairy Joy on Pleasant Street for many years. She loved music, cross stitch, quilting, reading and baking. She was known by her neighbors for her love of walking. An avid Red Sox fan, she had no problem keeping up her end of the conversation about the team.

She was predeceased by a brother Dean Rollins, a sister Lois Jeffrey and a grandson

Craig Gilliam.

She is survived by two daughters, Nicola White Gilliam and husband Burton, and Barbara White Manter and husband Scott, all of Brunswick; a brother, John Rollins of Freeport; four grandchildren, Kim Gilliam Orr and husband Steve of Westbrook, Erin M. White and husband Chris of Brunswick, Justin Manter of Tennessee, Annaka Hildreth and husband Chad of Brunswick; four great-grandchildren, Logan Orr, Catherine White, Courtney White and Moira Hildreth.

A private interment service will be at Lunt Cemetery.

Arrangements are in the care of Brackett Funeral Home.
