Susan Collins has earned our respect, our praise and our vote for United States Senator. In the din of partisan bickering between Congress and the White House, Susan Collins remains the voice of reason and provides some much needed leadership both within her party and across the aisle. Senator Collins serves as a reminder to young women in this state that women can not only perform in a once male dominated Congress but they can excel.
Considered one of the most influential Senators in Washington, Susan Collins gives Maine a strong voice in the Senate. Her political clout and unyielding advocacy for Bath Iron Works and its workers has earned her the support of labor and management. Once again, Susan Collins bringing the two sides together for the common good.
Please join me in voting for Susan Collins on Nov. 4.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
