RICHMOND
Meranda Martin tallied a hat trick to lead the Richmond High School girls soccer team to a 7-0 East-West Conference victory over Rangeley on Tuesday.
The Bobcats improved to 8-0 and hosts Sacopee Valley on Oct. 6 at 4 p.m.
Martin also dished out an assist, while Emily Snowden chipped in two goals and an assist. Caitlin Kendrick and Cassidy Harriman added a goal apiece, while Destiny Anair doled out three helpers.
Amber Morrill had 15 saves in goal for the Lakers, while Sydney Tilton and Kennedy Chandler took turns between the pipes for the Bobcats.

The host Greyhounds scored the lone goal on a penalty kick with seven minutes remaining in regulation for a Mountain Valley Conference win over the Cobras.
Emma Houle, who is 3-for- 3 on penalty kicks this season, gave Lisbon the win and a 5-1-2 mark with a visit to Hall-Dale scheduled for Friday at 3:30 p.m.
In goal, Lisbon netminder Ali Sult had nine saves. The Greyhounds were outshot by Carrabec, 13-11.

Cassie Brown’s goal was the only one as the visiting Witches earned a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference win over Mt. Ararat in Topsham.
Kate Guerin had seven saves in goal for the Eagles, who fell to 4-4.
Mt. Ararat is slated to host Messalonskee on Friday at 6:30 p.m.

At Brunswick, Libby Spekhardt had a hat trick to lead Bangor to the KVAC win over the host Dragons.
Megan Connor contributed two goals and Lucy Clein chipped in one. Eliza Jansujwicz had an assist for the Rams.

Goalies Maddie Hodgdon and Page Cadorette combined for nine saves on 16 shots for Bangor, and Beth Labbe made six saves on 20 shots for Brunswick, which visits Brewer on Friday at 3:30 p.m.

At Naples, Tia Peterson scored on a breakaway as the Falcons ran away for a Western Maine Conference win over Lake Region (3-6).
Jordan Randall had two saves in Freeport’s cage, while Madison Rock had eight stops for the Lakers.
Freeport is 5-2 and is scheduled to host Falmouth on Thursday at 3:30 p.m.
Boys
BREWER — Nick Merrill and Hank Gilson scored five minutes apart in the first half as Mt. Ararat downed Brewer, 2-0, in KVAC action.
“We got the win that we needed,” said Mt. Ararat coach Jack Rioux after his Eagles won their seventh straight contest to improve to 7-1.
Merrill opened the scoring 5:01 into the game on a pass from Max Spelke.
Gilson’s goal, with 29:49 left in the opening frame, was assisted by Dalton Streeter.
In goal, Gavin Patterson had three saves in the win, while Brewer keeper Drew Baker had eight stops.
Mt. Ararat visits Messalonskee on Friday at 3:30 p.m.

Justin Vachon scored twice in the first half as the Bobcats hustled to an E-WC win over the Lakers.
Trystin Shea added a goal and an assist in the opening frame for Richmond (7-1), while Brendan Emmons dished out two assists.
In the second half, Nick Adams (assisted by Dustin Simmons) and Nate Kendrick (Ford Strout) completed the scoring.
In goal, Zach Small and Shea split six saves down the middle.
Rangeley goaltender Hunter Lowell had 22 saves.
Richmond visits Sacopee Valley on Oct. 6.

A Dragons rally from a two-goal deficit came up just short in KVAC action in Bangor.
Joe Dougher scored for the Rams (7-1) 14 minutes into the game, taking advantage of a turnover.
Bangor doubled its lead in the second half on an unassisted strike by Garth Berenyi.
Brunswick (2-4-2) cut the lead in half when Chris Glover converted. The Dragons threatened several times throughout the remainder of regulation.
George Payne had seven saves for Bangor, while Brunswick keeper Josh Dorr had eight stops.
The Dragons host Brewer on Thursday at 3:30 p.m.
Field hockey
FARMINGDALE — Chase Collier had a five-point game to carry Lisbon to a 7-0 MVC win over Hall-Dale.
The Greyhounds, who improved to 6-3 and visits Telstar today at 3:30 p.m., received three goals and two assists from Collier, along with two goals from Savannah Czechalski and a goal each from Sadie Hardt and Morgan Fenderson.
Kaylee Magee had 24 stops for the Bulldogs (1-8).
Volleyball
BRUNSWICK — South Portland knocked off Brunswick, 3-0, at Harriet Beecher-Stowe School.
The Red Riots won by set scores of 25- 17, 25- 9 and 25-13.
Katharine Kunhardt led the Dragons (0-8) with one kill, four assists, a dig and two service aces. Sophie Katz (one kill, two assists, two aces), Margaret Dickinson ( three kills, one ace), Mackenzie Burrows (one kill, one dig, one ace, one block) and Julia Baumgarte ( two blocks) also had solid outings.
Brunswick returns to action on Friday at North Yarmouth Academy (6 p.m.).
Bowdoin
BRUNSWICK — Morgen Gallagher scored less than two minutes into Tuesday afternoon’s game to extend the Bowdoin women’s soccer team’s winning streak and defeat visiting University of New England, 1-0.
The Polar Bears (6-1) have strung together consecutive one-goal victories with strong defensive play.
The Nor’Easters (6-2) were riding a three-game win streak, with their only other loss being a 1-0 result at Wheaton.
Gallagher provided the Polar Bears with all the offense they needed, finishing off a feed from Nikki Wilson just 1:23 into action. Wilson dribbled around the UNE defense and found Gallgher with a tight pass, which was controlled and put away on the ground.
The Nor’Easters nearly netted an equalizer in the 24th minute as Taylor Littlefield clipped the crossbar with a high arcing shot from beyond the box.
Brielle Robinson kept her team in the game, making several sprawling saves in net to deny Bowdoin.
With 6:29 remaining in the second half, Robinson turned away a close-range shot by Talia Missan by diving to the post. Wilson quickly booted the rebound on net, but another UNE defender had stepped in to make a goal-line block. Robinson ended the day with seven saves as Bowdoin held a 14-5 edge in shots. Anne Parrish and Sabrina Albanese each made a stop for the Polar Bears.
Bowdoin held a 12-3 advantage in corner kicks.
Bowdoin visits MIT on Friday at 7 p.m.
