AUGUSTA (AP) — A police raid on an Augusta apartment has resulted in two arrests and the seizure of a variety of illegal drugs worth an estimated $30,000.
Police say 38-year-old Franklin Arbour Jr., of Augusta, and 32-year-old Angie Sousa, of Farmingdale, were arrested Wednesday on River Street on drug trafficking and other charges.
The Kennebec Journal reports that police also seized 1,250 bags of heroin, 24 grams of cocaine, 13 grams of bath salts and more than 100 marijuana plants.
Police received a search warrant in connection with an investigation of a series of burglaries and thefts.
Both are being held in jail on bail pending their initial court appearances. Arbour has history of prior drug arrests.
