PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (AP) — Police in Portsmouth, N.H., have detained 27 underage party-goers after breaking up a teenage drinking party.

Police Sgt. Kuffer Kaltenborn says officers arrived at the home late Saturday to see several dozen teens fleeing on foot. The scene was cleared by early Sunday.

Kaltenborn told the Portsmouth Herald that 18- year-old Darien S. Brea, who lives at the home, was charged with facilitating an underage party.

Kaltenborn says that several hours later another teenage drinking party was broken up. Police detained five teens in that incident.
