BATH — Maddie Mitchell and Olivia Harper scored a goal each to lead the Morse High School jayvee girls soccer team to a 2-0 victory over Lincoln Academy on Wednesday on McMann Field.
Mitchell scored with 27:59 remaining in the contest for a 1-0 Shipbuilders lead, and Helena Eich’s corner kick was finished off by Harper for an insurance goal with 3:31 left.
Maddie Nelson and Sam Ramsey had strong games in the back line for Morse, breaking up Lincoln Academy transitions and generating runs. Eliza McKenney, Rosa Atienza and Julia Cliffe placed consistent pressure on Lincoln’s defense.
