SOUTH PORTLAND — The Southern Maine Community College women’s soccer team opened its season with a 0-0 tie against Hampshire College on Saturday.

The SeaWolves fired 37 shots at the Hampshire College net, but came up empty.

Former Richmond High School standout Taylor Clapp had five shots on goal for SMCC.
