Lisbon Town Clerk Twila Lycette has announced that nomination papers available for several municipal positions in advance of the November election.

The nomination papers must be returned to the town clerk by Sept. 19 at 6 p.m.

The town council has three, 3-year terms available. The at large seat held by Christopher Brunelle is expiring, as is a District 1 seat held by Eric Metivier and a District 2 seat held by Roger Bickford.

According to the town’s website, Brunelle and Don Fellows are running for the at large seat on the town council. Metivier and Mark Lunt are running for the District 1 seat on the council and Michael Hebert and Kris Crawford are running for the District 2 seat on the council.

Traci Austin and Paula Jefferies both have three-year terms on the School Committee expiring. Both are running for re-election according to the town’s website.

A three-year seat is also available on the Water Commission with the expiration of William Bauer’s term.

People taking out nomination papers for any of these positions must obtain at least 50 but not more than 75 signatures from qualified voters in Lisbon. Any voter may sign any nomination paper for an at large position. For council district seats, only voters who reside in that district may sign nomination papers for those candidates.
