HARPSWELL — Ronald S. Breton, 80, of Gun Point, died unexpectedly Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2014, at Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick.

Ron was born in Lewiston, June 7, 1934, the son of Lionel R. and Vera Jackson Breton. He was a graduate of Lisbon Falls High School, class of 1952. Ron served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.

Ron and Liliette Charest were married on Aug. 17, 1970, in Nova Scotia.

Mr. Breton was a longtime employee of Central Maine Power Company. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and had been a part-time lobster fisherman for several years.

Ron was a thoughtful and loving husband, father and grandfather.

He will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years; three sons, Sean Breton and his wife Laura of Lisbon Falls, Marc Breton of Bowdoinham, and Dennis Breton; a daughter, Michelle Morgan and her husband Dana of Bowdoin; a brother, Richard Breton and his wife Candace of Winthrop; and a sister, Shannon Wietz and her husband Wayne of Winthrop and Texas, and four grandchildren, Wade and Zachary Breton and Brooke and Emilie Morgan.

Friends may visit from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Brackett Funeral Home, 29 Federal St., Brunswick. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Katherine Drexel Chapel, of All Saints Parish, Mountain Road, Harpswell. Interment with military honors will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Mt. Vernon Road, August.
