BATH — The Bath Area Senior Citizens Activity Center, located at 45 Floral St. in Bath, is planning an open house, cookout and membership drive from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 16. All area residents age 55 and over are invited to attend.
On the menu are hot dogs, hamburgers and fixings, which will be served throughout the day.
In addition to a tour of the facility, planned activities include demonstrations of bocce, horseshoes, exercise class, line dancing and a performance by the BASIC Players. Annual dues for residents of Bath, West Bath, Phippsburg, Woolwich, Arrowsic and Georgetown are just $15; dues for other areas are $20 a year. Any new member who joins during this drive and pays their 2014 dues will receive 2015 dues for free.
