BRUNSWICK — People Plus, 35 Union St., will host a brown bag lunch to discuss elder scams at noon Thursday.
Senior Manager of Security from Fair Point Communications
Larry Caruso will speak about telephone and Internet scams targeted specifically at seniors.
Caruso will review existing scams and discuss the types of personal information that scams try to access. Warning signals that may indicate the call or email is a scam will be highlighted to prevent seniors from becoming victims.
Caruso also will discuss how to prevent Internet or phone scams and how to report these types of incidents.
Registration is not necessary but appreciated.
