Does your child love music? Enjoy dancing? Like to perform and make people smile? The Midcoast Youth Theater may be the place for your family.

All parents and caregivers want nurturing, fun, and educational opportunities for our kids. When I heard Christina Petrulli say at the first play rehearsal, “No one is better than anyone else, you all have your own gift of talent, you are all going to shine,” I knew the Midcoast Youth Theater was going to be a nurturing place for my son, Jasiah. Christina is the choreographer, who teaches all the dance moves to go along with the songs.

Now, everyday we listen to Jasiah singing “Me and My Arrow” and he knows all 14 songs of the play by heart. He also loves to recite long parts of the play throughout the day and several times a week, we practice the dance moves to the songs. His confidence grows daily and he has a long list of friends and family he has invited to see him in the play.

The Midcoast Youth Theater is a non-profit dedicated to promoting the arts in our community and building partnerships advancing success for youth, families, and the community. The MYT makes musical theater accessible to local children by giving every child a part, having the lowest troupe fees, and including every participant regardless of ability to pay. Founded in 2003, we are currently working on our 39th show “The Point”.

And please mark your calendar and come join us to watch the play “The Point” Thursday July 10th 7pm, Friday July 11th at 7pm or Saturday July 12th at 2pm at the Chocolate Church in Bath. For more information 751- 2619.
