TOPSHAM — The Mt. Ararat High School Spring Athletics Awards Night was held recently with a number of student/athletes honored.

Coach’s Awards in baseball went to Desmond Babbidge (jayvee) and Caleb Hall (varsity), while Griffin Stockford was named Outstanding Senior.

Softball saw Shelby Bishop (JV) and Kim Leslie receive Coach’s Awards and Devon Hutchins Outstanding Senior.

Coach’s Awards in tennis went to Joe Thomas and Eliza Hodge, while Eric Knight and Isabelle Leon were Outstanding Seniors.

In lacrosse, Vanessa Balser (JV) and Kaitlin Volk received Coach’s Awards as did Alex Curtis (JV) and Kellen Radulski for the boys. Outstanding Seniors were Danielle Palmer and Connor Read.

Track saw Justin Pierce and Kelly Lynch pick up Coach’s Awards, while Isaac Bradshaw and Katie Frizzle were named Outstanding Seniors.

Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference All-Academic for girls track were Maggie Broughton Emmie Cox, Frizzle, Carly Lavallee and Nicole Ross, while Kelly Lynch was honored for making the KVAC All-Conference Team.

In boys track, KVAC All-Academics included Shea Nelson, Nick Rancourt, Nick Rogers, and Sam Wood, while Andrew McCracken and Justin Pierce were honored for making the All-Conference Team.

All-Conference picks for tennis were Christine Levesque (second singles) and Nick Mathieu (first singles). Mathieu was also named KVAC Player of the Year.

Selected to the KVAC All- Conference for girls lacrosse were Carly Raymond (First Team), Sierra Gilley (First Team) and Rebecca Schuman (Second Team), while All-Academics were Connie Hodge, Danielle Krause, Danielle Palmer and Bailey Sullivan.

All-Conference in boys lacrosse were Jack Mickles (First Team, utility) and Devin Monteiro (First Team, long stick midfielder), while All- Academic included Jordan Castonguay and Read.

Also, Hutchins was named to the All-Conference Second Team in softball.

KVAC All-Academic in baseball were Michael Abreu and Ellison Etnier.
