SKOWHEGAN — The Mt. Ararat High School jayvee softball team fell to Skowhegan in a wild, 33-32 contest on Friday.

Rachel Schoenberg singled five times to lead the Eagles offense, which had several big hitting games. Fallon Fitzpatrick singled and doubled twice for four hits, Maggie Vaillancourt had two triples and two doubles for 10 total bases, Erika Everett picked up four singles, Katie Frizzle singled twice and tripled, Piper Ingle and Chelsea Scharold each singled three times, and Abby Andreasen and Brittany Littleford had two hits apiece.

Everett pitched, striking out four Indian hitters.

Mt. Ararat is slated to visit Edward Little on Wednesday.
