ALTOONA, Pa. — The Portland Sea Dogs and Altoona Curve were suspended Wednesday night due to rain, with the Sea Dogs leading 2-1 heading to the bottom of the third inning.

The teams are scheduled to conclude the three-game series tonight, with the suspended game preceding a seven-inning contest.

Portland jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first on a two-run home run by Stefan Welch.

Altoona answered in the second on a Sea Dogs error.

Portland starting pitcher Keith Couch allowed three hits, one unearned run and fanned three over two innings pitched.
