The Topsham Parks and Recreation Department is offering several summer clinics and camps.

Challenger Soccer Camp
The Challenger Sports Soccer Camp will be held August 15-19 at the Foreside Field Area.
This unique camp provides participants the ability to gain exposure of the English culture and the game of soccer through British counselors.
Cost for camp includes Tshirt and a ball.
Children Ages 4-6 (Mini- Camp, 1 1/2 hours) runs from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., and again from 10:40 a.m. to 12:10 p.m. at a cost of $92 for residents, $102 for non-residents.
Children 6-12 will be held from 9 a.m. to noon at a cost of $133 for residents and $143 for non-residents.

Track & Field
The summer session begins on June 14 at the Mt. Ararat High School track.
Practices will be held Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 6-7 p.m., with the first meet taking place on June 30. Meets will be held on Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Children 8-14 may participate in field and running events. Children age 7 are also eligible to practice only, but must be accompanied by an adult.
Parents provide transportation to away meets.
The cost is $2 per meet, and a cold lunch is required.
The cost to register is $50 for SAD-75 residents only.
Birth Certificates and the USATF form must be completed at time of registration at the Topsham Rec.
Youth Soccer League
The deadline to register is July 14.
Children ages 5-14 are eligible (age as of October 15, 2016).
Ararat Nation Baseball
Join Mt. Ararat High School baseball coach Bob Neron and many of his players for this week-long camp at Foreside Road.
The camp runs June 20-23 from 9 a.m. to noon.
Players can partake in drills, skills, batting practice, game like scenarios and game play to sharpen their baseball aptitude.
Open to children ages 8-12 (as of April 30th, 2016 ). Children are sure to have fun while focusing their energy in developing skills in the sport.
Ararat Nation tee shirts will be provided to all registrants
The cost is $40 for residents, $50 for non-residents.
Eagles Girls Basketball
Mt. Ararat girls basketball coach Andy Norris and many of his players will run this fun camp inside the high school gym.
This camp is for players entering grades 1-8 this fall. The camp runs from July 11- 15.
The times for the camp are grades 1-5 from 9 a.m. to noon, and grades 6-8 from 1-4 p.m.
Participants will have the opportunity to develop basketball skills in a “fun, structured and positive atmosphere.”
The cost, which includes a T-shirt is $70 and is open to SAD-75 residents only.
Field hockey
Mt. Ararat field hockey coach Krista Chase and her players will run this annual fun camp, which is open to SAD-75 players entering grades 2-8 this fall.
The camp will be held from June 20-23, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., at the Mt. Ararat Middle School field.
The priority for camp is for participants to have fun. The camp is intended to teach teamwork, goal-setting and a love for learning through the passion for the sport of field hockey.
Campers will receive small group and one-on-one instruction. The camp is designed to teach those who have never picked up a stick, as well as players with experience.
The following gear is required — shinguards, mouthguards (molded), a water bottle, sneakers or cleats.
Players are asked to bring a stick. However, Chase has a limited number of sticks for players to borrow. The Rec., also has stick packages for purchase.
The cost is $40 for the camp, which includes a Tshirt and a certificate.
Baby Eagles FH
Chase will also run the annual “Baby Eagles” field hockey camp.
This camp is for players ages 4-6, and will take place from June 20-23 at the Mt. Ararat Middle School field from 4 p.m. to 5:15 p.m.
Parent participation is welcome.
The cost is $25 and includes a T-shirt and certificate.
Soccer camp
Varsity coaches Sam Chard and Jack Rioux will run this skill development camp at Foreside Field from July 25-29.
Camp times are 4-6 p.m.
High school players will offer their support and direction as counselors for this five-day program.
The camp is for ages 5-12 and costs $60 for residents, $70 for non-residents.
Tennis
Join Maine Pines Tennis coaches Andrea Georgian and Jason Terry for the Summer Tennis Program.
This Program will be taking place on the Mt. Ararat High School tennis courts near Mt. Ararat Middle School.
“Orange Ball” tennis is for players ages 6-10, teaching tennis skills and strategies through game-based drills, with footwork patterns and coordination worked on.
The cost is $60 for residents, $70 for non-residents, and will run for four weeks beginning July 5 on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning at 3:30 p.m.
“Yellow Ball” tennis is for ages 11-17, with round-robin games as well as skills drills offered.
This program begins on July 5 (four weeks) on Tuesdays and Thursdays (4:30 p.m.). The cost is $60 for residents, $70 for non-residents.
“Family” tennis will be held on Thursdays at 5:30 p.m. beginning July 7 (four weeks), and costs $50 for residents, $70 for non-residents. Learn the game of tennis while spending time together.
“Adult” tennis begins July 11 (four weeks) and costs $50 for residents, $70 for non-residents.
This is the perfect opportunity to get out and exercise while meeting new people.
Youth Golf
Lessons will be held at Highland Green Golf Course beginning on July 12 and running for four weeks.
The program will be run by Mt. Ararat High School golf coach Gerry Caron.
Participants will learn iron play, chipping, putting and course etiquette.
The cost is $50 for residents, $70 for non-residents and will run from 11 a.m. to noon. Ages 8-15 are eligible.
Boys basketball camps
Former Mt. Ararat High School basketball coach Kelly LaFountain will run a youth basketball camp for grades 1-4 from June 18-22.
The camp will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., with the cost $60 (SAD-75 residents only).
Also, Mt. Ararat boys basketball coach Steve Cox will hold a camp for grades 5-8 on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning on July 7.
Participants will have the opportunity to develop basketball skills in a fun, structured and positive atmosphere.
Camp shirts will be provided, as well as individual skills and competition awards.
The cost is $60, and is open to children from within SAD-75 only.
