BATH — Bath Iron Works picked up a pair of wins in Bath Cal Ripken baseball play recently.
In a 12-8 win over Montsweag Road House, Henry Kerr, Wyatt Rowe and Kiernan Mann combined to strike out 11 for BIW. At the plate, Colby Dolan, Trajen Higgins, Chase Roth-Wells and Rowe had two hits each. Mann, Kerr and Isaiah Bradford chipped in a hit apiece.
MRH was led by Andrew and Noah Magliozzi with one hit each, while Braylon Williams struck out six on the mound.
BIW rolled to a 14-3 win over Smith-Tobey.
Mann, Kerr and Dolan again combined on 11 punchouts, while Kerr and Owen Hill each had three hits. Mann, Roth-Wells, Higgins, Tucker Delan, Wyatt Rowe and Kaidin Webster all had one hit each.
For Smith Tobey, Jackson Murray struck out two, while Myles Norris and Jack Delano each found time on the mound. Zack Foreman had two hits.
