Summonses

A 17-year-old male, of Lincoln, was issued a summons Saturday, May 17, for having liquor on their person and possessing a firearm near a school. Officer Michael McManus issued the summons after a motor vehicle stop as part of a specific detail to detect alcohol violations. The juvenile was the driver of the vehicle, said Freeport Lt. Susan Nourse, and a person over the age of 21 had supplied him with alcohol. A shotgun was discovered in the vehicle, it is unknown for what purpose the shotgun was in the car at that time. A court date has been scheduled at West Bath District Court at 8:30 a.m. on July 16.

Yefeng Wang, 30, of Providence, R.I., was issued a summons by Officer Keith Norris on Friday, May 23, on charges of operating a vehicle without a license and failing to stop at a stop sign. Wang was stopped on Route 1 by Norris, who found his license had been suspended in Illinois. A court date has been scheduled at West Bath District Court at 8:30 a.m. on July 22.

Donald Strout, 41, of Parsonsfield, was issued a summons by Officer Cheryl Dupuis on Tuesday, May 27, for operating with a suspended license. Dupuis responded to a motor vehicle crash on Route 1 where Strout hit a deer. No one was injured. A court date has been scheduled at West Bath District Court at 8:30 a.m. on July 22.
