BATH — A 36-year-old Bath woman was charged with aggravated cultivation of marijuana Thursday after police allegedly discovered 16 marijuana plants at her home on Cottage Street.

April L. Smeal, 36, of 9 Cottage St., was arrested at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at her home, Bath Police Lt. Stan Cielinski said Monday.

Officers conducting a bail check allegedly found 10 small marijuana plants, three large flowering plants and three large non-flowering plants, according to Cielinski.

Smeal was taken to Two Bridges Regional Jail and held without bail, pending a June 5 court appearance.
