BANGOR – Severe weather has knocked out power to more than 2,000 utility customers in Penobscot County.
Emera Maine said Friday that 2,085 homes and businesses in Penobscot County lost service. A handful of outages are being reported in Hancock and Northern Penobscot/Piscataquis Counties.
The utility says that crews are responding to the scattered outages, caused by heavy rain and lightning, as quickly and safely as possible.
Central Maine Power reported 123 customers without power late Friday afternoon, all but two of them in Edgecomb.
Emera customers can report outages by calling 207-973-2020 or 855-363-7211. CMP customers should call 1-800-696-1000.
