CLASS ACTS recently won the Brunswick Parks and Recreation Department’s Open Men’s Basketball League Championship. No. 2 Class Acts beat No. 4 Dynamic Floor Care, 94-78. High scorers for Class Acts were CJ Vose (42 points), Rashon Jones (22) and Frank Billings (15), while top scorers for Dynamic Floor Care were Mark Flavin (35), Justin Alexander (18) and Dan Hammond (13). In the back, Vose, Jones, Scott Springer, Bill Simpson and John Fitts. “This is our 35th year as a team ... obviously some are a little older than others in the picture,” said Simpson. “Our league record was 12-1 and our overall record was 1,957- 528 at the time of the Brunswick Championship. Since then we have already played another six games, won the 12th annual Mountain Valley Recreation Men's Basketball Tournament (5-0) and one of our league games in Portsmouth, NH. Currently we are 1,963-528 with only nine games from our 2,500th game.”
