HARPSWELL — Susan “Suzie” Dunning Hinckley Adams passed away suddenly on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at the age of 56.

Susan was born January 14, 1960 in Portland, Maine, to Dr. Robert and Joan Hinckley. Susan was a loving and caring mother, daughter, and sister. She is best remembered by her radiant smile, generous spirit and pleasant personality. Susan dedicated her life to helping others and was an active volunteer at the Medical University of South Carolina.

Susan is preceded in death by her father, Robert F. Hinckley, M.D. and sister, Victoria Noyes Hinckley. She is survived by her children, William Adams and Sarah Adams, and their father, Ronald Adams, of Charleston, South Carolina; mother and husband, Joan Potter Hinckley Nelson and Franklin Nelson; brother and sister-in-law, William and Katarina Hinckley; and three nephews, Robert, Sebastian, and Gus Hinckley; Susan was soon to be engaged to Kevin Collins of Buffalo, New York.

Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, April 30 at the Brackett Funeral Home Chapel, 29 Federal Street, Brunswick, Maine. Interment will be at the Hinckley Monument in the Riverside Cemetery, Brunswick. Following the service, the family will receive friends at the home of Katarina and William Hinckley in Harpswell.
