THE BRUNSWICK FIRE DEPARTMENT was called to a fire that was at risk of getting out of control Monday afternoon near at 25 Thomas Point Road. According to Fire Capt. Derek Klemenski, a resident at that address was dispersing hot ashes from a fire pit, which started a small brush fire near a trailer. The trailer was undamaged and the fire was extinguished in about 10 minutes, said Klemenski. At top, Brunswick firefighters speak with a property owner Monday near Cook’s Corner.
