The Polar Brain Alliance, a group of Bowdoin College student-athletes who serve as peer advocates for concussion research, are happy to host renowned speaker and concussion expert Chris Nowinski for a talk on campus tonight.

An author, former professional wrestler and executive director of the Concussion Legacy Foundation, Nowinski will be speaking about the issue of concussions in sports and society in Morrell Gymnasium from 6-7 p.m.

The talk is free and open to the public.

Nowinski, author of “Head Games: Football’s Concussion Crisis,” is codirector of the Center for the Study of Traumatic Encephalopathy at the Boston University School of Medicine and was an All-Ivy League football player during his time at Harvard. He is widely regarded as a leading authority in the field of head injuries.
