WATERVILLE — The Bath YMCA girls gymnastics team competed at the State Championships in Waterville recently with standout results.

In Level 2, Maja Sherman placed fourth all-around in the 7-year-old division with a 34.425. Sherman placed second in the state on both balance beam (9.175) and floor exercise (8.65).

In the 8-year-old division, Elena Trundy (34.225), Molly Newall (33.275) and Sophie Wood (31.275) placed fifth, sixth and eighth, respectively.

Trundy was second in the state on vault (9.15), and fifth on beam (8.675). Newall tied for third on floor (8.65) and with a 9.1 placed fourth on vault. Wood placed ninth on vault (8.70), and eighth on both floor (7.6) and uneven parallel bars (7.55).

Eleanor Burnham is the Maine State All-Around Champion in the 9-year-old division, with a 36.475. Burnham placed first on both beam (9.325) and floor (9.0).

Teammate Emma Dobranksy placed fifth allaround with a 34.675. Dobransky placed fourth on vault (9.275), beam (8.85) and floor (8.5).

The Level 2 team placed second overall in the state.

In Level 3, 8-year-old division, Elizabeth Bingham placed third all-around with a 35.375. Bingham placed third on vault (9.375), and fifth place on bars (8.525) and floor (8.74).

Teammate Grace Delano earned sixth all-around with a 34.175.

Delano placed seventh on vault (9.25), and eighth on bars (8.1), and floor (8.425).

In the 9-year-old division, Julianne Salko (35.475), Kallie Maney (34.85) and Alamea McCarthy (34.25) placed fifth, seventh and ninth all-around, respectively.

Salko earned fifth place on both the vault (9.4) and bars (8.775).

Maney state champ

Maney is the Maine State Champion in the 9-year-old division on the beam with an 8.95, and placed seventh on both vault (9.05) and floor (8.425). McCarthy earned fourth on beam with an 8.725, and seventh on vault (9.05).

In the 11-year-old division, Anna Yankee placed seventh all-around with 35.275. Yankee placed fourth on floor (8.8) and fifth on vault (9.425).

In Level 5 competition, Audrey Crews (29.225) and Samantha Melquist (28.0) placed fifth and sixth allaround, respectively.

Crews earned a fifth place on vault (8.425), beam (7.45) and floor (8.1). Melquist earned fifth on bars (6.3), and sixth on vault (7.85) and floor (7.1). Teammate Rachel Poulton placed fifth allaround in the 11-and-over division with a 29.0. Poulton earned fourth on vault (8.35) and fifth on both floor (7.75) and bars (6.1).

In Level 6, ages 9-12, Hannah Goodman placed 11th all-around with a 30.4.

Goodman placed eighth on beam (7.8) and 10th on vault (7.9) and floor (7.95).

In the 13-and-over division, Hope Langworthy placed third all-around with a 34.525.

Langworthy is the Maine State Champion on vault with a 8.6, and placed second on floor (8.825). Teammate Molly Klein earned ninth all-around (30.7). Klein also placed fifth on floor (8.7) and bars (7.35).

In the Excel Silver competition, Jane Nordman (33.675) and Rachel Ouellette (24.925) earned second- and third-place all-around, respectively.

Nordman placed second on both vault (8.675) and beam (8.0).

Ouellette is the Maine State Champion on bars (9.175), and earned second on floor (8.5).

In Excel Gold, ages 11-12, Atti Shepard placed ninth all-around with a 30.375. Shepard placed sixth on vault (7.6) and eighth on beam (7.35).

In the 15-and-over division, Erika Tardiff placed seventh overall (17.65). Tardiff earned a third on bars with a 9.05 and seventh on vault (8.6).

In Excel Platinum, ages 13-14, Havi Ellers placed third all-around with a 33.2. Ellers was second on bars (8.75) and third on vault (8.45). In the 15-year-old division, Kayla Soucy (34.175), Lilia Hayford (33.15), Morgan Bateman (32.6) and Maya Kosak (31.525) placed second, third, fourth and fifth, respectively.

Soucy placed second on both floor (8.95) and beam (8.1).

Hayford is the Maine State Champion on both vault (9.15) and bars (9.0).

Bateman earned third on beam (7.85) and fourth on bars (8.4). Kosak earned second on vault with a 9.0, and was third on floor (8.425).

In the 16-year-old division, Marisabel Rodriguez placed fourth all-around (32.05).

Rodriguez earned third on bars (8.15) and fourth on both vault (8.6) and beam (7.4).

The Bath YMCA team with be represented by qualifying gymnasts at the YMCA Northeast Region Gymnastics Championships in Glastonbury, Conn, on May 9-11.
