WOOLWICH — Nearly 100 family members and friends honored Hayden D. Temple on his 80th birthday on April 19 at North Woolwich Methodist Church. Hosts were his children and grandchildren, Val and Marilee Harris and daughters, Lydia and Emily; and Todd Temple and Christa Baade and daughter, Alexandria.

Refreshments were served by Eunice Leach and Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Wills.

Temple is a lifelong resident of Woolwich. He attended Morse High School and served in the U.S. Army. He has worked most of his life as a car salesman, in construction, and as an auto mechanic. For a time, he was selfemployed with the late Lloyd Shaw in a construction business. He retired in 2013 after 39 years of service at Bath Iron Works.
