Bowdoin College senior Addison Carvajal has been named to the first-ever NCAA Rugby All-American team.

A fullback for the Polar Bears, Carvajal was one of 31 players recognized based on their performance during the fall 2015 season.

“Addison joined the team with pure speed and athleticism and over her three years she’s developed a very high rugby IQ,” according to head coach MaryBeth Mathews.

Bowdoin finished its fall campaign with a record of 9-1, advancing to the National Quarterfinals of the USA Rugby Division II Tournament.
