BATH — Androscoggin Valley Soil and Water Conservation District, in cooperation with Maine Soil & Water Conservation Districts, who received a grant from the Maine Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Conservation, will be presenting a workshop as part of the Invasive Forest Pests Outreach Program. Androscoggin Valley SWCD is an equal opportunity employer and program provider. This workshop is designed to help residents identify current and potential invasive forest pests and host species, to understand the threats these pests pose, and to learn how to report suspected pest sightings and damage.

The Androscoggin Valley SWCD will be holding the workshop on May 4 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Bath City Arborist Forestry Building, 4 Sheridan Road. The workshop will consist of a classroom lesson followed by an optional “walk and talk” site visit, weather permitting. The Invasive Forest Pests workshops across the state are free. Androscoggin Valley SWCD asks that individuals register by April 27. Registration forms can be found at androscogginswcd.org. Contact Jocelyn Lahey, (207) 753- 9400 ext. 404 or [email protected], for more information.
