YARMOUTH — Thelma Andrews Groves, 90 of Freeport, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at the Brentwood Manor. Thelma was born in Hartford, Maine and she was the daughter of Leland and Fidelia Dyer Andrews. She attended the Hartford schools. Her family owned the Pleasant View Farms in Hartford, which also served as a guest house.
On January 21, 1945, Thelma married Lauren Groves. For 29 years Thelma worked in the packing and shipping department at L.L. Bean. She was also a bookkeeper at Moody’s Garage.
Thelma enjoyed pastel painting, loved live and was a good Christian.
Thelma is predeceased by her husband and her two brothers, Julien and Larry Andrews.
She is survived by one son, Leslie Groves of Freeport.
Services will be private. Arrangements Independent Death Care of Maine, 660 Brighton Avenue, Portland.
