BIDDEFORD (AP) — Police say the body of a missing Saco man has been found.
Police say 58-year-old Gary Googoo’s body was found Monday afternoon near railroad tracks and an overpass in Biddeford. Googoo did have schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.
Police say Googoo walked away from his home at Living Innovations early Monday in extremely cold temperatures.
Living Innovations supports people with disabilities.
It is unclear how Googoo died. Authorities are investigating.
Sergeant Christopher Hardiman of the Saco Police Department tells WLBZ-TV that Googoo’s death is not considered suspicious.
Steve and Rose McManus, who cared for Googoo, say he had been happy but had been behaving differently recently. They say they notified Googoo’s doctor and counselor about his behavioral changes.
