WALDOBORO — The Morse High School jayvee girls basketball team used two solid starts to post a 45- 40 win over Medomak Valley on Thursday.
The Shipbuilders, who improved to 8-8, led 19-10 after a quarter. The Panthers closed to 25-22 by halftime, but Morse outscored its hosts 12-6 in the third quarter for a 37-28 lead.
Emma Gould led the win 18 points, followed by Marissa Parks with 14. Maddy Mitchell chipped in six points, with Samantha Brown adding five.
Miapy White led Medomak with 13 points.
