BANGOR (AP) — A judge has denied bail for one of two men charged with murder in a Maine shooting that left one person dead and another wounded.

Thirty- seven- year- old Thomas Ferguson and another man, both of Brooklyn, New York, are charged with murder and aggravated assault. Ferguson is also charged with tampering with a victim.

Police said the men shot and killed 38- year- old Robert Kennedy and wounded Barry Jenkins Nov. 27 in an apartment building in Bangor.

WLBZ-TV reports a judge on Friday ordered Ferguson held on bail after determining that he would be a flight risk. He remains jailed at Penobscot County Jail.

Defense attorney Jeff Silverstein says the hearing was worthwhile because more details about the case were revealed.
