AUBURN — Caitlin LaFountain of Topsham scored 16 points as the University of Maine-Augusta defeated Central Maine Community College, 48-47, on Wednesday.
Lindsay Clark nailed a free throw with 1.3-seconds remaining in regulation as UMA improved to 13-6.
Jamie Plummer of Richmond had 13 points for UMA, while Abby Tilton paced CMCC (12-7) with 16 points.
