FREEPORT — The Greater Freeport Community Chorus, under the direction of Virgil Bozeman and accompanist Dorothy Cuprak, begins rehearsals for the spring season Sunday, Jan. 5,at the Freeport Community Center, 53 Depot St., Freeport.
Registration is 5:45 to 6:30 p.m., with rehearsal to follow. Rehearsals are held Sundays 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the community center.
The chorus is an adult, mixed- voice group whose members are residents of about 20 communities in the Midcoast area. No audition or previous experience with choral singing is required, only a love of singing and having fun making music together.
Membership dues cover the cost of music and related expenses. Dues are waived for high school students.
