
He was born on Dec. 20, 1948, in Auburn to parents Robert and May (Williams) Cooper.
Andrew graduated from Edward Little H.S. and UMO’s Forestry and Dairy Husbandry Programs. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War. Andrew worked for Realty Resources for many years. He was first selectman for the town of LaGrange and served the Seventh-Day Adventist Church as Head Elder, Deacon and Bible teacher.
Andrew will be remembered for his meticulous craftsmanship, his thrifty gardens, and especially for his deep love of family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Donna; his three children, Leisa Maxwell, Greg Arsenault, and Kristen Gaughan; brothers David and Eddie Cooper; sister Christina Gauthier; five grandchildren; his mother; and many beloved nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
Andrew was predeceased by his father, and his brother
Alphonse.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 16, 2013, at the Brunswick Seventh-Day Adventist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to benefit children’s ministries at the Brunswick Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 333 Maine St., Brunswick, ME 04011.
