BRUNSWICK — The Resident Owned Neighborhoods Association of Maine celebrated the 2015 RONA Board Appreciation Gala at the Senator Inn in Augusta. The event was sponsored, in part, by Maine Housing, Genesis Community Loan Fund, Cooperative Development Institute, ROC USA and Lash Realty Group.
Board members for five of the resident-owned manufactured housing cooperatives attended to be recognized for their volunteerism and commitment to their mobile home parks in which they live and serve.
Individual awards were presented for Most Improved members, Most Cooperative Spirit, and Board MVPs, along with a “Board Comedian” category, complete with a set of wind-up teeth to commemorate the achievement.
Brunswick Bay was recognize for Best Appearance, the Community Achievement Award, which is calculated by lowest vacancy, most efficient board meetings and lowest delinquency rate. It also receive the highest award — the RONA Coop of the Year.
