FARMINGTON — UMF student writers in Maine’s only Bachelor of Fine Arts in Creative Writing Program read from their original work at the University of Maine at Farmington fall 2013 Creative Writing Senior Reading. The reading took place at 7:30 p.m., Thurs., Dec. 12, in The Landing in the UMF Olsen Student Center.
Held twice a year, this event features graduating seniors reading from their portfolio of original works in poetry, fiction and non-fiction.
Local students Ashley Smith of Brunswick and Alex Beloin of Camden were among the participants at Thursday night’s event.
Other students included: Mary Drover, from Peabody, Mass.; Nicole Ellis, from Litchfield; Melanie Floyd, from Long Island; Zach Fowler, from Presque Isle; Sean Igoe, from New Haven, Conn.; Jamie Phillips, from Willington, Conn.; Hunter Rowell, from West Paris; and Meagan Winker, from Cape Elizabeth, all of whom have just completed the Senior Seminar in Creative Writing.
