BRUNSWICK — Brunswick police responded to two minor crashes in seperate incidents Dec. 30 and in both cases arrested the drivers, charging them with alleged operating under the influence.
The first crash was reported in the area of 440 River Road shortly before 7 p.m. According to Brunswick Police Lt. Tom Garrepy, Evan Clement, 26, of Lisbon was driving a 2003 Dodge Durango sport utility vehicle.
Police got a call the SUV was off the road and located Clement on the side of the road, uninjured, Garrepy said. Clement was issued a field sobriety test and was taken into custody on suspicion of OUI and taken to the station where he was charged with OUI and operating without a license. He then posted bail.
At 11:18 p.m., police were called to Gurnet Road for a reported 2008 Ford F350 pickup truck off the road. Garrepy said the driver, Norman Parent, 56, of Brunswick was put through a field sobriety test and placed under arrest, charged with OUI and violation conditions of release. He subsequently posted bail from the station.
