Freeport Community Library will highlight the digital paintings and illustrations of Zach Cunningham in a January 2018 art exhibit.
Cunningham, who sometimes works under the anagram moniker Chaz the Bug, is an illustrator, comics artist and graphic designer living in Portland, Maine. His lines are bold, bulbous, erratic, sharp.
Cunningham’s work is visible all over the Old Port on flyers for local shows and for the comics zine he co-runs, “One Page Stinkers.” His work has recently been featured in the Infinite Canvas show at Kimball Street Studios and the Hi-Fi 80s Music Tribute show at Pinecone and Chickadee.
The prints on show at the library will be available for purchase through the artist. To connect with Cunningham, find him on Instagram (@ZachCunninghamArt), by email at [email protected] or visit ChazTheBug.com.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
