
On October 5, 1964, she married Giovanni Guernelli.
She was predeceased by Giovanni on Jan. 4, 2004.
Adelaide was a professor at several universities in New York City for 35 years and was a published author, poet and lecturer. She enjoyed reading, writing poetry and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of People’s Plus and Maine Pines where she enjoyed exercising and socializing. Surviving is her only child, Gianelia (John) Guernelli and his wife Karen of Brunswick. Two brothers Edwin and Mickey of Florida. She also leaves behind four grandchildren: Hanna, Evan, Luke and Gia.
A service will be announced at a later date. Spring interment will be in Growstown Cemetery in Brunswick.
Arrangements are by Stetson’s Funeral Home, 12 Federal St., Brunswick, where memorial condolences may be expressed at stetsonsfuneralhome.com.
