BRUNSWICK — Joyce M. (Young) Hodgdon, 65, of Woolwich, died peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Monday, December 11, 2107 at Mid Coast Hospital. She is the wife of Henry W. Hodgdon also of Woolwich.
Joyce was born on May 7, 1952 to George and Helen (Pinkham) Young in Bath Maine. She spent her youth growing up in Five Islands. Joyce worked Arrow Hardt in Brunswick Maine for many years until she retired.
It was her most joyful accomplishment to raise her three children on her own until marrying her husband Henry. They all enjoyed her favorite activities of camping and fishing for many years. Joyce was a kid at heart who loved spending time at the beach and thoroughly enjoyed playing in the water with her kids and Grandchildren.
Besides her husband of thirty years, she leaves behind her brother Donald Nichols, and his wife Lois. Her six children; Shawn, Jason, Jennifer, Lori, Tess and Amy. Joyce also leaves 12 Grandchildren that she loved very much: Shane, Josh, Kaprice, Cameron, Caden, Coady, Morgan, Garrett, Alec, Caleb, Sabrina and Kolby. As well as many friends and extended family.
