Edith passed away at the Maine Veteran’s Home in Scarborough, Maine. Edith was born and raised in NYC. For decades she worked as a nurse and proudly served in the US Army. In 1958, Edith married William Mullane. Surviving are their three daughters: Kathleen (Ernesto), Nancy (Peter) and Naomi (Michael), grandchildren Lauren, Thomas, Monica, James & Katherine and great granddaughter Abigail. Additionally, Edith leaves behind her sister Blanche, sister-in-law Patricia, cousin Carol, close friends Meredith and Rose and many nieces and nephews and friends in East Millinocket and Brunswick.

She was predeceased by her husband Bill, sister Elsie and many dear friends.

Since 1987 Edith has made her home in Maine. Her last 10 months have been in the tender care of the Maine Veteran’s Home in Scarborough and Compassus Hospice of Scarborough. The compassion and love with which the nurses, CNAs and staff cared for Edith was extraordinary.

There will be a Memorial Mass on Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017 at 11:00 am at All Saints Parish, St. Charles Borromeo Church, 132 McKeen Street in Brunswick. Burial will be held at a future date.
