Virginia Whitney Fiske, 83, of Summerville, SC, passed away quietly at home in the presence of her two sons, Saturday, July 1, 2017.

Family and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 from 11 to 12 o’clock, followed by funeral services at 12 o’clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel.

Mrs. Fiske was born November 2, 1933, in Bath, ME, daughter of the late Albert E. Whitney and Marjorie Beatrice Fish Whitney. Mrs. Fiske graduated from Morse High School in Bath, ME and attended college at Becker Junior College in Hartford, CT. She enjoyed bingo and ceramics. She was the former owner of The Melody Shop in Bath, ME. Mrs. Fiske was a member of the Cosmopolitan Club of Bath, ME. She retired from Civil Service after 23 years of service with the Naval Aviation Engineering Service Unit in Brunswick, ME as Secretary.

She was a member of the Red Hat Ladies Club of Leesburg, FL. She lived fifteen years in Leesburg, FL prior to moving to Summerville, SC to be closer to her family. She was a very loving, thoughtful and giving mother and grandmother. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

Survivors include two sons: Jeffrey M. Stevens of Crouse, NC and Gregory M. Stevens of Summerville, SC (including Greg’s partner David Pope); two grandchildren: Christine Stevens and Morgan Deitrick and seven great grandchildren. She also leaves behind 3 neices.
