BRUNSWICK — Kathleen Claire Mahon, age 64, died Tuesday, June 6, at Mid Coast Hospital, Brunswick.

She was born in Jacksonville, FL., October 10, 1952, the daughter of Joseph E Sheehan, Sr., and Christine M. Sheehan. She graduated from Brunswick High School.

She had been employed as a receptionist/typist for Parkview Hospital. She then volunteered for United Bikers of Maine, working tirelessly in legislative affairs and even contributed to putting RIDE SAFE on all motorcycle licenses plates in Maine.

She was married to Thomas Austin of Ellsworth in 1973 and later to George David Mahon, Jr., of Ellsworth who died in an industrial accident in Portland in 1985.

She is survived by her father of Brunswick; two daughters, Christine Mahon of Phoenix, AZ., and Casey Mahon of Woodstock, GA.; two brothers, Joseph E. Sheehan, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL. and Michael Sheehan of Biddeford; a sister, Margaret (Peggy) Sheehan of Brunswick and several grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Monday at Brackett Funeral Home, 29 Federal Street, Brunswick.

Interment will be in Growstown Cemetery, Church Rd, followed by a reception a St. Charles Borromeo Church, All Saints Parish, McKeen Street, Brunswick.
