Paige Daigle powered her way to six goals to lead the Morse High School girls lacrosse team to a 15-6 Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference win over Camden Hills on Wednesday.

The 9-2 Shipbuilders are slated to host Gardiner in their regular-season finale on Friday at 5 p.m.

Amanda Gagne added three goals and two assists in the win, along with Emily Martin, who had a hat trick and one helper. Mae Winglass fired in two goals, Emillie Platterer had one, and Isabella Monbouquette and Karen Yurek chipped in an assist each.

Zenaide McCarthy had two saves, while Abby Sreden turned away one shot.

Olivia Powers led the Windjammers with two goals and one assist, with Sarah Contento and Hazel Delehy adding a goal and an assist each.

Boys lacrosse

FAIRFIELD — Declan Hall tallied six goals and Sheamus Mann had four as Morse rolled to a 24-6 KVAC rout of Lawrence on Tuesday.

Morse took control in the second quarter, turning a 3-2 deficit into a 12-5 halftime lead. An 8-0 scoring advantage in the third quarter put the Bulldogs (3-7) away.

The Shipbuilders improved to 3-6 and hosts Lincoln Academy today at 4 p.m.

Hall added an assist, while Mann dished out two helpers. Cameron Marco tallied four goals and three assists, Braden Olsen had a hat trick and one helper, Stevie Recknegal three goals and Jacob Bouchard a goal.

Ethan Pascuzzo was solid in the face-off circle for Morse, while Dylan Hancock manned the Shipbuilders’ cage.

Softball

DIXFIELD — Brittany Norman had four hits to power Lisbon to a 21-4 Mountain Valley Conference win over Dirigo.

The Greyhounds improved to 10-4 and host Carrabec today at 4 p.m.

Lisbon led 8-0 in the first inning and posted six runs in both the fourth and fifth innings to bring about the 12-run mercy rule.

Mallory Fairbanks chipped in a pair of doubles for Lisbon.

HALL- DALE 7

The Wolverines completed their MVC season with a tough battle at Farmingdale on Wednesday.

Wiscasset finished its season with a 2-12 mark.

Kelsey Jones drove in Stephanie Jones in the first frame to give the Wolverines a 1-0 lead.

Hall-Dale scored seven unanswered runs before Wiscasset added a run in the seventh on back-to-back doubles by Stephanie Jones and Kelsey Jones.

Corey Campbell had two hits for Wiscasset, while August Moore, Isabella Marino and Kailey Roberts shared the pitching duties.

Brooke Toothaker doubled twice for the Falcons, who fell to 1-12 in Western Maine Conference play.

Greely (8-6) charged out to a 5-0 lead through three frames as Sawyer Dusch and Madison Rawnsley each doubled twice.

Baseball

TOPSHAM — Jarod Norcross Plourde pitched six solid innings and C.J. Jipson earned the save as Edward Little edged past Mt. Ararat, 2- 1, in KVAC play.

Norcross-Plourde and Jipson combined to strike out nine and walk two.

The Red Eddies (12-3) claimed a 2-0 lead in the first frame, taking advantage of two hit batters and a pair of walks.

Hunter Lohr went the first four innings for the Eagles, with Cam Grant throwing the final three. They combined to allow six hits and four walks with two strikeouts.

At the plate, Nick Merrill, Sam Alexander and Ryan Mello had the Eagles’ three hits, with Garrett Moody scoring Mt. Ararat’s lone run in the sixth inning on a passed ball.

“We had our chances, but we just didn’t get the timely hits,” said Mt. Ararat coach Bob Neron.

The Eagles are 6-7 and visit Skowhegan today at 3 p.m.

DIRIGO 3
LISBON 0

The visiting Cougars struck for two runs in the third inning, the only runs they needed in an MVC win over Lisbon, which fell to 10-4 and hosts Boothbay on Friday at 4 p.m.

Cooper Chaisson went the distance for Dirigo (6-7), allowing just three hits with four walks and two strikeouts.

Tyler Halls and Noah Austin combined for three strikeouts, three walks and two hit batters on the mound for Lisbon.

Noah Francis was 2-for-3 for the Greyhounds, while Luke Lueders and Bryce Whittemore each had two hits for Dirigo.

FREEPORT 6
GREELY 10

The host Rangers tallied six runs in the third inning to take control in a WMC victory over the Falcons, who fell to 3- 9-1 and visits Lake Region on Friday at 4 p.m.

Ryan Twitchell doubled home Logan DeCourcey and Jack Saffian for the Rangers (9-5), who scored twice in the bottom of the second to take a 4-3 lead. Twitchell added a two-run single, and also scored, as Greely widened the lead to 10-3 with six runs in the third.

Toby Holt doubled twice for Freeport, while Colby Wagner added a double and a single.
