SPINDLEWORKS’ BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL exhibit opens tonight. It is a selection of Spindleworks artists that are expressing their emotions on paper and canvas. The work ranges from realistic work to abstraction and highlights choices outside of each artists normal comfort zones, according to a Spindleworks press release. Artists include Terri Snape, Mitch Pfeifle, Emma Becker, and many others. An open mic night in celebration of the event will be held May 26. Spindleworks is a non-profit art center in Brunswick, Maine. As a program of the Independence Association, Spindleworks provides supplies, studio and gallery space to over 45 artists with disabilities. Artists range in age from 20-80 and work in a wide range of mediums.
